



These spring bug theme counting mats are an awesome way to teach preschool students counting and cardinality standards, or the concept of amount with the number. This resource will be great for your Math lesson, Math centers or as a fine motor activity.

There are 2 versions of these counting mats;
1. 10 frames (color and b/w)
2. 20 frames (color and b/w)

Directions:
Print and laminate it. It is ready to be used. You will need whiteboard markers, some counters, and play dough too.

How to use/play:
This resource can be used in a number of ways:

1. Write any number on the lines using a whiteboard marker (it will be a write and wipe board), and the student has to add as many dots on the ladybug, using play dough. Also, they should add as many counters in the ten frames.
Â
2. Put some counters in ten frames and have the students write the number on lines and add the dots to the ladybug (play dough).
Â
3. Add dots on the ladybug (play dough) and have the student write the number and add counters in the tens frame.
Â
This resource is made on letter-size paper however, it can be printed on A4 pages too. Just choose the correct options from the pdf reader.

Note: Please keep the students under your observation when you are using the play dough or counters.
